Summer guided tours are led by the Department of Learning and Public Engagement’s college interns who interact with students to engage them in relevant, creative, and participatory experiences with works of art.
We welcome all types of youth groups for summer tours, including groups from park districts, camps, schools, churches, community centers, and more.
Summer guided tours are offered the last week of June through the first week of August each year. Guided tours start at 10:30, and vary in length. Request your tour using our Student Tour Application at least two weeks in advance of your preferred date.
Group leaders may choose to lead their groups through the galleries without an Art Institute educator on a teacher-led tour. Teacher-led tours are offered throughout the summer, with entry times beginning at 11:00 and every half hour until 4:30, and must be booked using the Student Tour Application.
