Exhibition

Share

This retrospective honored one of Chicago’s most prized architects, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It was one of the first comprehensive exhibitions of his work. The exhibit included photographs, large photographic blow-ups, scale models, original drawings, and a model of the Berlin Gallery. The show aimed to trace the past of Mies van der Rohe, whose career began in 1919 and spanned well into the 1960s before his death in 1969. At the exhibit, Mies van der Rohe’s career was celebrated as a point of complete perfection in architecture.
