Celebrate the painter behind Paris Street; Rainy Day (1877) in the garden with fellow Luminary and Gloria Groom, Chair and Winton Green Curator, Painting and Sculpture of Europe. Organized in collaboration with the musée d’Orsay in Paris and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, Gustave Caillebotte: Painting His World explores the artist’s unique perspective on 19th-century Paris as captured through his intimate portrayals of friends, family, and everyday people that shaped the city.
We hope you’ll join us to raise a toast to this major exhibition and enjoy an after-hours look at some of Caillebotte’s most iconic paintings alongside more rare and influential gems from his body of work.
Dress in your best garden attire and dive into a world of chic Parisiennes, a new urban landscape, and Impressionist wonder while enjoying an open bar, delightful bites, and live music en plein air.
