  • Free; no registration required.

Photo shows two light-skinned girls with curly light-brown hair and a boy with slightly darker skin and black hair, each of whom greatly resembles the other, sitting at a table together working on art projects.

Throughout history, many artists were friends, while others were enemies. Some were both! This Family Day, visitors of all ages are invited to explore creative friendships and rivalries across the collection through art making, learning, poetry, and play with visiting artists.

Activities in the Ryan Learning Center are always free. The Art Institute offers free admission for kids under 14 and Chicago teens under 18 every day we’re open.
