We’re hosting monthly open studio hours for high school students on Chicago Public School nonattendance days to co-create a communal place that is not home or school, but a youth-centered third space. Explore the museum, make art, eat snacks, and hang out with fellow teen creatives!
Create text art and visual poetry with your fellow teens inspired by the reinstallation of Jitish Kallat’s Public Notice 3 on the museum’s Woman’s Board Grand Staircase. Experiment with typography, stencils, and printmaking to give your words visual impact and make your message seen.
Museum admission is not required for this program. All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
