Visitors of all ages are invited to stop by the museum’s Ryan Learning Center and choose from a variety of activities: create an art project, explore the Multisensory Gallery, make a custom museum tour with JourneyMaker, and more.
This winter, let’s celebrate a Black Planet! Write and illustrate a family proclamation inspired by Project a Black Planet: The Art and Culture of Panafrica and the African Children’s Charter. In this multimedia art-making activity, we’ll create medallion collages using gems, images, fabric, and more. Your medallion can be worn, traded, or displayed in our collective gallery. This activity was designed by hybrid poet and disability justice advocate Saleem Hue Penny.
