Luminary are invited to an exclusive celebration of Paula Modersohn-Becker: I Am Me, the first museum exhibition of this iconic painter’s work in the United States. Trained in London, Paris, and Berlin around 1900, the artist chose to depict both herself and her contemporaries in the rural community where she lived in northern Germany.
Following a private introduction to the show with Jay A. Clarke, Rothman Family Curator of Prints and Drawings, you are invited to view the exhibition after hours and gather over light hors d’oeuvres with fellow Luminary.
This event is exclusive to Luminary members, and advance registration is required. Please note that this event occurs when the museum is closed to the public, and registered guests will be provided entry instructions in advance of the program.
