Teens are invited to learn the process of reductive printmaking, step by step, with this workshop inspired by the exhibition A Sign of Things to Come: Prints by Japanese Women Artists after 1950 and the sosaku-hanga (creative print) movement, which approached printmaking as a form of artistic expression. All supplies and materials for this program are included, and no experience is necessary.

Because this program includes a visit to the galleries, museum admission is required. Museum admission is free to Chicago teens under 18 and all children under 14.

Participants are encouraged to return on Friday or Saturday during Teen Open Studio, 11:00–3:00 in Studio C, to continue exploring printmaking and finish any artworks still in progress from this session.
