Teens are invited to take inspiration from Dan Friedman: Stay Radical in this studio workshop with teaching artist Katie Romans. Participants will learn different typography techniques to create mini-posters with meaningful messages before reinterpreting their work in mixed media abstract collages.
About the Teaching Artist
Katie Romans is a creative teaching artist that loves sharing her ideas and skills while collaborating with youth and adults throughout the city of Chicago. An active painter, Katie draws inspiration from nostalgia, urban and natural surroundings, and the art making experiences she has with her students.
