Visitors of all ages are invited to stop by the museum’s Ryan Learning Center and choose from a variety of activities: create an art project, explore the Multisensory Gallery, make a custom museum tour with JourneyMaker, and more.
Through September 4, 2023, join us for “The Artist’s Studio: Landscape Collage,” an art activity inspired by the exhibit Van Gogh and the Avant-Garde: The Modern Landscape. Explore composition and color as you collage layers of felt to create imaginary landscapes featuring unique elements of places you see in paintings and places you see in the world around you. This program is guided by the studio practice of Chicago-based artist Leslie Baum.

Studio projects in the Art Exchange have been designed with social distancing in mind. Parties of visitors will be physically separated from each other, and each party will work with a separate set of supplies.
The space will close for 15 minutes periodically to refresh art materials and maintain cleanliness.
