CANCELED | Drop-in Workshop: Fabricating Fashion—Weaving as Art and Science

Admission actions

  • Free with museum admission

In the interest of the health and safety of our visitors, guest speakers, performers, and staff, we are canceling all on-site programs through May 31. We hope to reschedule this program and will let all current registrants know of the new date as soon as it’s set.

Please review other precautionary measures the museum is taking due to COVID-19..

What are the relationships between coding and fabrics? Join textiles conservator and artist Isaac Facio for this drop-in session where you’ll dive deeper into the making of textiles in Fabricating Fashion: Textiles for Dress, 1700–1825. Through hands-on activities, you’ll explore historic weaving processes and their ties to modern technologies.

Please note: This program has limited capacity. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
