Christina Yu Yu is the Matsutaro Shoriki Chair of Art of Asia at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. A noted scholar of Chinese art, she leads a team of curators in overseeing the MFA’s collection of more than 100,000 works from East Asia, South and Southeast Asia, and the Islamic world and developing special exhibitions and publications of Asian arts and cultures. Before joining the MFA, Yu served as the inaugural director of the Pacific Asia Museum at the University of Southern California, and assistant curator of Chinese art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Yu was born and raised in China and completed her PhD at the University of Chicago
