Admission actions

Angelo Testa. Produced by Angelo Testa & Company. Restricted gift of the Elizabeth F. Cheney Foundation.

As part of the centennial celebration of the German Bauhaus, join curators Alison Fisher and Erica Warren for a lively conversation about two exhibitions at the Art Institute that chart Chicago’s dynamic legacy of progressive arts education and practice—Bauhaus Chicago: Design in the City and Weaving beyond the Bauhaus. Featuring curator Elizabeth Siegel, Art Institute of Chicago; and scholars T’ai Smith, University of British Columbia, and Maggie Taft, University of Chicago, this roundtable explores the remarkable local afterlives of the German school in the fields of architecture, design, fiber arts, and photography.

Presented by the Architecture & Design Society and the Textile Society of the Art Institute of Chicago
