For over 30 years, Michelle Grabner has created patterned-based work in a variety of media including drawing, painting, video, and sculpture. She is best known for abstractions that use designs found within domestic settings such as tablecloths, bed linens, blankets, and spiderwebs. Grounded in process and productivity, Grabner also combines her studio practice with active tasks of writing, curating, and teaching.
