Isaac Facio

Isaac Facio focuses on the care, preservation, and exhibition of textiles as a conservator within the Conservation and Science Department. In conjunction with his museum work, he is a lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where he works with students on the close looking and hands-on study of objects. He has completed master’s degrees in Fiber and Material Studies at SAIC, and textiles science and technology from the University of Manchester, England, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and has studied at L‘École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. He maintains an art and science research-based practice, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Textile Society of America.
