Demi Sedrakyan

Demi Sedrakyan was the 2025–26 McMullen Arts Leadership Intern in Prints and Drawings and is a recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Sedrakyan is an interdisciplinary artist who works in the fields of ceramics, painting, and print. She is a 2026 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Undergraduate and Multicultural Fellow, and was the 2025 Getty Marrow Undergraduate Intern at the Museum of Neon Art in Los Angeles. An Armenian immigrant to the United States, Sedrakyan works with the ideas of forced migration, sacred spaces, and the similarities of movement across the world shared by humans and birds. In her day-to-day life, she works in museums and art spaces, working directly with collections management, and strives to bring cultural accessibility to institutional spaces.
