Mairead Horton
Mairead Horton is the research associate in Applied Arts of Europe at the Art Institute of Chicago. Since joining the Art Institute in 2023, she has provided research support for the reinstallation of the collection of European design, 1600–1900, in the Eloise W. Martin Galleries. Her prior museum experience includes roles at the Blanton Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Art. She received her BA in art history from Princeton University and her MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art, with a focus on the visual and material culture of the circum-Atlantic in the long 18th century.
