Emily Teeter

Emily Teeter is an Egyptologist who has served as a curator and coordinator of special exhibitions at the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (formerly the Oriental Institute) at the University of Chicago, and as curatorial consultant for Egypt at the Art Institute of Chicago. As of 2024, she is the co-curator for the African and Egyptian galleries at the Field Museum. She is the author of many monographs, exhibition catalogues, and articles, and is coauthor of the digital scholarly publication Ancient Egyptian Art at the Art Institute of Chicago (2025). She received her PhD from the University of Chicago. She lives in Chicago.
