Ross Bernhaut

Ross Lee Bernhaut was the graduate curatorial intern in Arts of Asia from January through May of 2024 and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan specializing in the visual cultures of South Asia. His scholarship has been published in Archives of Asian Art, and his dissertation research has been supported by a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad grant and a Charles Lang Freer Fellowship at the National Museum of Asian Art, among others. Prior to joining the Art Institute, Ross held curatorial internships and research assistantships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the University of Michigan Museum of Art. He received an MA in history of art from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Michigan.
