Emma Thibodeaux-Thompson
Emma Thibodeaux-Thompson is a McMullan Arts Leadership Intern and completed her bachelor’s in liberal arts at Sarah Lawrence College in 2023 with a focus in European art history. Her research interests have thus far focused largely on European art, early modern portraits, and questions of gender, sex, and class, as well as urban marginality. This year (2023-24) she is studying for her MA in history of Art at the Courtauld Institute in London, with a focus in Medieval and Northern Renaissance art. In her free time Emma enjoys practicing ballet and all kinds of dance, continuing her study of German (and now French), collecting comic books, and crafting cosplay. Emma was mentored by Kate Howell, the study room manager and collection assistant, and Jay Clarke, Rothman Family Curator in Prints and Drawings.
