Bianca Phipps
Bianca Phipps (they/them) is a McMullan Arts Leadership Intern and a rising second-year grad student earning their MLIS at the University of Washington. They hope to become an academic librarian serving students studying the arts, be that visual, performance, or a blend of the two. They are also open to becoming a cataloger on the frontlines of change, as catalog language grows more intentional and community-minded. When they aren’t studying, Bianca can be found writing poetry, reading tarot cards, or spending time with their cat, Lady Catelyn. Bianca was mentored by Amanda Schriver, the associate director of digital research systems and strategies, and Tina Mead, the associate library director of technical services, supporting their inclusive cataloging work within the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries of the Research Center.
