Sheridyn Villarreal

Sheridyn Villarreal was the 2023 McMullan Arts Leadership Intern in Photography and Media, where they were mentored by Barbara Diener, the collection manager for Photography and Media. They received a BA in art history from Columbia College Chicago in 2022 and plan to pursue a graduate degree in art history and curatorial studies. Sheridyn’s research interest lies in artists practicing photography, performance, and time-based media to explore the boundaries of identity and embodiment.
