Andrew Talley

Andrew Talley is the owner of Talley &Talley, a mountmaking and custom-fabrication firm based in Chicago.

He serves all the major museums in the city, most notably the Art Institute for whom he has been contract mountmaker since 2002. In addition to maintaining a roster of private clients, he travels for short-term contracts most recently to the J. Beyond designing and creating mounts for objects, he has a particular interest in fabricating specialized lifting and support structures to resolve the challenges of object movement and installation.

He carried out his undergraduate studies in Studio Art at the University of Delaware and has further training and experience in carpentry, cabinetmaking, well drilling, auto mechanics, gunsmithing, welding and operating a variety of heavy equipment.
