Manol Gueorguiev

Manol Gueorguiev is an artist and design historian working at the intersection of performance, installation, and writing. Manol teaches in the Design programs at Tulane University’s School of Architecture and Loyola University New Orleans.

Manol’s professional experience includes work as an interior designer for Ligne Roset and design projects for the Field Museum, Chicago, and the arts activism group Feel Tank Chicago, co-founded by the late Lauren Berlant. Manol has also worked on community-engaged design with refugees in Berlin.

Manol’s writing and art practice have been featured in All-over: Magazin für Kunst und Ästhetik and the Small Center for Collaborative Design in New Orleans. He recently published an article in Design Issues on forms of institutional critique in contemporary art in relation to pandemic interior design at US micro-businesses and participated in the National Endowment for the Humanities faculty institute “Mapping the Early Modern World” at the Newberry Library, Chicago.
