Nora Gainer

Nora Gainer is the executive director of Civic Relations and Partnerships in the Marketing and Communications department at the Art Institute Chicago. In this role, she cultivates creative partnerships across the Chicago and Illinois, reinforcing the museum’s role as an integral part of daily life.

A former hotel marketing executive, Nora has traveled the globe twice over and firmly believes Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the world. She and her husband, Ferdia Doherty, co-own two farm-to-table restaurants, in Chicago and Evanston. They live in the Lincoln Park neighborhood with their three young children and are a Chicago Public Schools family as well as avid consumers of the city’s incredible local libraries and parks.
