Michael Neault

Michael Neault is associate vice president and executive creative director, Experience Design, at the Art Institute of Chicago. Since joining the museum in 2014, he has worked on several major exhibitions and digital initiatives, including Van Gogh’s Bedrooms (2016), the 2018 redesign of the Art Institute website, and the relaunch of the museum’s mobile platform in 2017.

His awards and recognitions include the 2017 SXSW Innovation Award, Visual Media Experience, for the Art Institute interactive JourneyMaker and a 2017 Webby Award, People’s Voice, for the Art Institute of Chicago Mobile Experience. Michael began his career working in film and video at the George Eastman House International Museum of Film and Photography in Rochester, New York. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned a dual bachelor’s degree in radio, television, film and English textual studies.
