About this artwork
Until 1973, Tatyana Grosman had resisted the temptation to compete with the trend among other workshops to produce prints comparable in size to the current standard for painting. With the completion of Off the Continental Divide, Rosenquist succeeded in convincing her that ULAE had the expertise and sensitivity to realize such large-scale projects without sacrificing the handmade qualities that were the hallmark of her publications.
