About this artwork

In this pre-edition trial proof, an additional violet tone has been added to the roof of the house, and a delicate yellow tone has been added by hand. It was to be one of twelve images published in the series of Quelques Aspects de la Vie de Paris in an addition of 100 prints by Ambroise Vollard.
