About this artwork
The firm of Jeffrey & Co. was responsible for manufacturing all of the wallpapers made under the Morris & Co. label. Under director Metford Warner (about 1843–1930), Jeffrey & Co. had a reputation as one of the finest printers in England and also printed designs by Walter Crane and C. F. A. Voysey. The company’s relationship with Morris & Co. continued until they were absorbed into a larger conglomerate in 1927.
