About this artwork

The exhibition advertised here featured the work of the Zimbabwean artist George Nene, known for his watercolors and acrylic paintings of daily life. His early artistic training was in part due to Medu. Nene was serving an eight-year prison sentence in Gaborone when Medu began offering art classes to inmates there.
