About this artwork

Doctor Yusuf Dadoo advocated tirelessly for the unity of South Africa’s oppressed. He viewed collaboration between Africans, Indians, and Colored people as the way to advance the liberation struggle. A powerful speaker and organizer, Dadoo’s work through various organizations, including the South African Communist Party and the South African Indian Congress, made him a revered political leader.
