About this artwork

By taking electronics apart and rebuilding them with paper, product designer Coralie Gourguechon attempts to promote healthier relationships with everyday technologies by empowering users to create their own. With the speaker seen here, she created a template from thick paper printed with conductive ink. Users can assemble a functional speaker simply by cutting, folding and gluing the paper template. The result is an elegant object made by hand that challenges the typical “black box” model of electronics.
