About this artwork

Born in Chicago and trained for a time at the School of the Art Institute, Aaron Bohrod eventually moved to New York, where he worked with the artist John Sloan. After receiving a Guggenheim Fellowship, he was able to travel around the country recording the American scene. A painter, watercolorist, and printmaker, Bohrod was recognized as a social realist and Regionalist.
