About this artwork

This collaboration between Yves Béhar, who is known for his ability to fold new technologies into everyday experiences, and Samsung, a leader in LED technology and its innovative applications, resulted in the creation of Anima Terra (Latin for “living landscape”), a prototype that merges the human experience with sustainable technology. Anima Terra is an abstract topographic surface comprised of thin layers of metal slats and LEDs that illuminate the form from within and can be programmed to reflect numerous lighting expressions. Béhar’s work with Samsung brings together beauty in design, LED technology, and environmental efficiency.
