About this artwork

Anthonie Waterloo was a self-taught artist from Lille who settled in the Netherlands in 1640. He is known for his animated landscapes, created with strong accents of light and solid forms. This charming print was one of six landscapes dealing with Old Testament subjects created by Waterloo.
