About this artwork

Lostutter also is known for colorful images of mysteriously feather-masked men who seem to belong to exotic tribes. This watercolor derives its title from a species of bird, Baird’s trogon; males of this species are renowned for having deep blue feathers and a bright red breast, colors reflected in the mask seen here.
