#1 A New Day to Visit

Have you heard? Beginning March 5, the museum will be open six days a week! With the addition of Wednesdays to our schedule, members can enjoy an additional member-only viewing hour each week, from 10:00 to 11:00.

#5 Reflections from the Artist

Peruvian artist Ana De Orbegoso joins curator Andrew Hamilton in conversation on Thursday, March 20, at 6:00 to discuss her work and the dynamic understandings that come from putting ancient art in conversation with later traditions. Registration is required.

#6 Music, Myth, and Marble

On Saturday, May 17, at 1:00, experience centuries of mythic storytelling brought to life through the music of Eternal City: Art and Music in Rome performed by Dutch soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg and musician Stephen Alltop, and hear from the Art Institute’s Jeffrey Nigro on the rich histories behind the rarely seen works on view in the landmark exhibition Myth and Marble: Ancient Roman Sculpture from the Torlonia Collection. Registration is required.
