The dismantling of a hospital bed.
Monday July 21th, 2008, BorderClinic will perform the dismantling of a hospital bed on an outdoor site in the near proximity of the psychiatric ward of Telemark Central Hospital in Skien, Norway. Alongside the dismantling itself there will be performances by max alexander and "Steinar", a singer/songwriter from Skien, who presently lives at the psychiatric ward of the hospital, diagnosed with schizophrenia. The performance will happen on a field visible from the hospital on the ground. The sound performances will be happening on two separate small stages on left and right side of the hospital bed performance. After the dismantling there will be a lunchparty, or pic nic, where patients and employees of Telemark Central Hospital are invited to join.
The performance starts as an agent from BorderClinic personally delivers a letter at the administrative office stating that a performance is starting at the moment, an invitation to come watch and to join the lunchparty that is to follow. At this point the bed will be rolling into the site where the two stages already are set. Three agents from BorderClinic will begin the dismantling in the following order:
