Louis Ebby Angel was born January 14, 1982 in Jacmel, in the Southeast of Haiti of Haïtiano-Dominicain father and Haitian mother. The second son of a home in which the father left some days after his birth, he was a very shy child and a dreamer. He attended secondary studies at the Holy High School Louis of Jacmel. After his classical studies, he became involved in the cultural environment of Jacmel, spending his time between cultural club, theater workshop, center of art, transmissions of radio of TV, and festivals (film / music).

Ebby traveled to the Alliance Francais in New York City for the American debut of his film Miss Body Plastik. The screening was on May 19th and was a huge success. After the film Ebby was part of a question and answer discussion with the audience. The film centers on the main character who slowly but surely defines her body by her environment. The short film uses found object art/costuming to reflect a national issue of refuse.

Ebby recently participated in the Transcultural Form at the Africamerica art center in Port au Prince. The performance involved video, music and body expressions. Ebby performed on drums with Les Tambours de Jacmel. |
