Syllabus, Fall 1997, SAIC:

ADVANCED PHOTOGRAPHY: INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS 4003-001 - Fred Endsley
Wednesday 9AM-4PM, Columbus 215

Prerequisites: Photography 3005 & Art History 3621

This is a course for independent, self-motivated students with at least 4 previous courses in photography. Students should already have developed significant bodies of work, be fluent in the basic skills, theories, and history of fine art photography, and be able to articulate a specific idea for work to be done in the current semester.

Students will be expected to meet individually with me at least 4 times throughout the semester during scheduled class time. Additionally, all students are expected to actively participate in periodic group critiques which will be scheduled. Each student assumes partial responsibility for the enlightenment and critique of every other student in the group.

Credit will be determined on an individual's participation, progress, and response to critique. It is expected that you will notify me in advance if cancellations are necessary, so that I can schedule the time for someone else (312-587-9952 H. / 312-443-3751 S.). Appointment sign-up forms will be maintained near my office door - please read and sign-up carefully.
