The PA/DS is designed to allow unrestricted use of small appliances and electronic devices without the need for a wall socket. It consists of a form-fitting fuel-cell battery pack and a hip belt and clip for hands-free operation.
An
integrated LCD screen shows the PA/DS’ remaining battery charge
and a toggle button allows the user to switch quickly between AC and
DC modes with the help of a built-in adapter.
The
current prototype of the PA/DS weighs 2.4kg (5.3lbs) and can sustain
an output of 75.5 Watt-hours for up to 8 hours at a stretch.
