Visiting Artists Program

Lectures begin at 6:00 p.m. in the School Auditorium, 280 South Columbus Drive. Admission is $5 per person for the general public, $3 per person for SAIC Alumni, students and seniors and free for students, faculty and staff of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Dave Eggers is a founder of McSweeny's, a quarterly journal, and McSweeny's Books, a small press. He is also the founder of 826 Valencia, a San Francisco writing lab for city youth. Eggers is the author of the memoir A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. He will read from his new novel We Shall Know Our Velocity.
This event is presented in collaboration with Quimby's Bookstore.
