The School's exhibition spaces include the Betty Rymer Gallery in the Columbus Drive building, which highlights work from the departments and presents special exhibitions; and Gallery 2, an off-campus student exhibition space, performance space, and space assigned for site-specific installations as well as presentations of innovative work by visiting artists. Recent exhibitions in the Betty Rymer Gallery include: The Consistency of Shadows: Exhibition Catalogs as Autonomous Works of Art, Pictorial Seams, and The Art and Collections of Richard V. Keane. These exhibitions were supported, in part, by grants from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. For more information on past projects, see www.artic.edu/saic/art/galleries/brscpast.html.

Gallery 2 programming featured several group exhibitions, including Reconfiguring Pop and Artbash: First Year Program Show.

The School and museum occupy a building just west of the Loop that offers 50,000 square feet of permanent space for the required graduate thesis exhibition, and is also the home of Gallery 2.
