Education is my passion and I also believe in sharing knowledge. My work focuses on the most vulnerable audience; children. I believe that supplementing the classroom style of education with fun interactive tools not only makes understanding easier but also creates interest in children to explore and gain knowledge beyond the classroom Hence the child in me constantly craves for innovative ideas for educational and communicational tools. Using the new technology, experimenting with it, I am trying to create an interesting method for the process of acquiring knowledge. I am experimenting with the epistemics.
In the past I have used the documentary genre of video making in pedagogy. I have also used puppetry and theatre as a way to impart knowledge. Today I venture into the amusement world of digital technology. I am using the animation genre in education as well as in awareness of social issues regarding children in an artistic way. Animation attracts children on a large scale and hence is also being used in education. Researches have shown positive results in the learning and acquiring of knowledge through the animated stories. Thus I am taking a step forward and making animated educational stories that are interactive where the child is not a mere couch potato but is interacting with and actively involved in the images presented to him/her. I am particularly concentrating on the interactivity concept blending it with animation.
