As a developing artist who questions a lot, I often ask myself what art exactly is, what it does in our lives, and what its purpose is; however, I could never find a good, reasonable answer that pleased me. Later on, I began to realize that there are no definite answers to those questions for art is something that is very subjective, and that works differently in everyone’s life. For me, art has been acting as a source of medication, the source of remedy and comfort that I could lean on. So far, most of my artworks demonstrate my insight feelings and thoughts that mostly involve with loss of innocence and social issues. Like Jeanette Winterson said in her essay “Art Object,” I believe that art cannot be described in just one definition since it is a universal language that we all have to interpret and understand in various ways.
