Frank Sinatra

Born Francis Albert Sinatra on December 12th 1915 in Hoboken New Jersey.

Thought of as the greatest entertainer of the 20th century because of his charisma on stage and the way he evoked a mood with his music.

Sinatra rose to fame young, he was performing regularly in the early 1940's with the Tommy Dorsey Band. His most famous time however was the time he spent with The Rat Pack. He performed with them in Las Vegas for several years and starred in movies such as "Ocean's Eleven" and "Robin and the Seven Hoods."

Frank is the only singer in history to have hit records for five decades in a row. He retired in 1971, but teamed up with Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. again in the late 1980's for a tour. He died in 1998 from a heart attack at the age of 82.
