Dean Martin retired from show business in 1989 after the concert tour with Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. He died in 1995 of acute respiratory failure.

Born Dino Paul Crocetti on June 7, 1917 in Steubenville, Ohio.

Well known for his partnership with Jerry Lewis, who he met at a nightclub engagement. Dean began his career as a singer and moved into acting after he met Jerry Lewis. They split due to cretive differences in 1956, Dean then resumed his singing career.

Dean appeared in a total of 51 films in his career including "Some Came Running," "Rio Bravo," and "Cannonball Run" as well as the films made by the Rat Pack as an ensamble cast. He starred alongside stars such as Shirley MacLaine, Judy Holliday and John Wayne.
