Artist's Statement

     The message is the media as an ever-increasing issue in the wake of globalization. Global marketing strategies continue to blur the distinction between empires, governments, and multinational corporations. The declining spheres of political and localized power structures are ever being transformed by global capital mechanisms set in place creating an environment without revolution without culture without identity. My work deals with the mechanisms that set these transformations in motion. "Metronome" is a comment on Czech Republic history and the subsequent transformations of power and occupation. This is also a sound piece that requires the viewer to turn up the volume on their computer speakers.
