Deep forest is the setting for this story pitting a girl with a wild streak in a battle of wills with her father. Alfs keeps his mother, his crazy wife, his mistress, and his daughter under his thumb at a remote estate where he makes a living hosting hard-drinking German hunting parties. Young Ria stops at nothing to drive the hunters off in a move that could destroy the family business, but one of the hunters has oddly ambiguous designs on her.
