TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

A Passport and Visa are required to enter India.

PASSPORT:
Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months after the completion of the trip and have at least two blank pages. Visit the US department of State for more information on applying for a passport. An application can be retrieved online or picked up at some US post offices, including the location at 227 E Ontario Street, Chicago.

AIRFARE:

All students and faculty will be traveling separately to New Delhi. You will need to purchase your ticket shortly after registration, as the winter months are the peak travel season for India. You will be flying into Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. Our first day begins at the YMCA at 9 am on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010. We recommend arriving the night before but no later then 6 am on January 2nd. A taxi arranged by SAIC will meet all students at the airport and take you to the YMCA. Additional information on purchasing a ticket will be provided at the time of registration.
